It’s a Close Race!

by dizzyarien

With this past weekend’s Color War Event, Capture the Flags, the scores for this Summer’s Color War became increasingly close! Although Team Yellow is still gaining in 1st place, Teams Blue and Red are fighting for 2nd. The scores are just points away from each other, and we’re not even close to calling a winner.

There are rumors going around that another Dizzywood Moderator is going to be rallying to help one of the Color War teams very soon, so keep an eye out for who that might be!

Tomorrow’s Special Color War Event will be the last, so rally up your teams, and keep earning those points because this one is going to be the most exciting and rewarding, as it will reward you with a jaw-dropping 400 points for your team!

Yellow could drop from their 1st place position, Green can climb up to the top….anything will be possible as the Color War Marathon kicks off tomorrow!

Let’s Go Red!

by dizzyarien

Calling all members of the Red Team! We’re in the last stretch of the Color War and need to make a final push to overtake Team Yellow for first place.

Let’s meet on the Twisty server today (Tuesday, July 7th) at 3:00 PM Pacific Time in the Team Red Clubhouse for a strategy session.

Gather all Team Red players you can find for this special rally. You’ve all done a great job so far. We’re so close now and I believe we can do it!

Note: You can check this web page to see when it’s 3:00 PM Pacific Time.

See you later!

Team Green, Now Is Our Finest Hour

by dizzyscooter on July 1, 2009

A message to Team Green, from Scooter (Dizzywood Moderator)

OK, Team Green. We’ve got a problem. Team Red rallied from last place in the Dizzywood Color War and now we’re at the bottom. We can’t let Teams Yellow, Blue or Red run away with this. So here’s what we’re going to do, Greenies. We’re going to meet in front of the Green Team Clubhouse in Farthing’s Meadow tomorrow, July 2 and get organized. Let’s show them the power of Green! Please join me on the following Dizzywood servers tomorrow:

  • Wobbly: 1:00 pm PT
  • Snazzy: 1:30 pm PT
  • Breezy: 2:00 pm PT
  • Boppy: 2:30 pm PT

We’re going to meet in front of the clubhouse and then go do some of the main events for Color War as a team. We’ll visit Tanglevine Jungle to venture into the Onakasi Treasure Room. Next we’ll tackle the archaelogy dig at Explorer’s Camp and then we’re going to head over to Canal City Road for some Monster Battling. And I hear there are going to be a lot of monsters showing up tomorrow, so we’re going to need some heavy Team Green firepower!

P.S. I hear some of the other Dizzywood moderators have plans to rally teams Red, Blue and Yellow, too. So let’s make sure we get a head start on everyone. See you tomorrow afternoon!

Color War is On!

from Dizzywood Explorers Journal by The Dizzywood Team

Color War

Let the Color War competitions begin!

You have your Color War uniform, your team flags and clubhouses, and now it’s time to earn points for your teams! We’ll be giving you updates throughout the coming weeks letting you know what team is in the lead, but you can check the scoreboard anytime you’d like by clicking on the bulletin board in Farthing’s Meadow.

How to earn points for your Color War Team:

Complete these activities as many times as you’d like before Friday, July 10th to earn points for your team:

  • Game Machine (Farthing’s Meadow)
  • Archeology Dig (Explorer’s Camp)
  • Rock Maze (Tanglevine Jungle)
  • Fishing (anywhere there is water)
  • Monster Battling (Canal City Road)
  • Gardening (grow plants and earn points)
  • Onakasi Treasure Room (make it to this secret room for the most points)

The start of Color War is already proving to be a close race. It’s an early call, but here are where Color War Teams stand:

Good luck to Blue, Red, Yellow and Green. Get those points, and get ready for the first main event, Color War Trivia, starting tomorrow!

Color War Spirit Week!

from Dizzywood Explorers Journal by The Dizzywood Team

This Summer’s Dizzywood Color War has just begun, and to get things rolling, we’re marking this week to be Color War Spirit Week!

We want to see how much spirit your Color War Team has! After you’ve visited the Color War Cauldron in Presto’s Edge to hear your team color, head on over to your clubhouse to meet your teammates. You’ll want to introduce yourself to everyone because these are your teammates that are going to count on you through all the Color War competitions in the coming weeks!

So get ready for some crazy fun events coming up, and get your game faces on! In the meantime, before the friendly competition begins, we’re holding another photo contest.

spirit contest

Color War Team Spirit Photo Contest:

To enter, make sure you have a Contest Camera. Don’t have one? That’s ok! Just head to Farthing’s Meadow and check the bulletin board.

Once you have the camera,  your challenge is to get as many of your Color War teammates into one photo. This is going to take a lot of work, but we want to see you reach out and meet your teammates. This is your team, so pump it up, pump that team spirit up!

To qualify for this contest you’ll need to have more than 10 of your Color War teammates in your photo. The more creative you get, and the more teammates you get in your photo, the better!

Photo contest deadline: Friday, June 26

***Pictures that you take with your Contest Camera are automatically sent to us to review. You do not need to email them to us. Thanks!***

And there is a new gold mission. Comment what team you guys are on! I’m on yellow.

New Missions!

by The Dizzywood Team on June 12, 2009

To continue in the efforts of keeping Dizzywood free of Emperor Withering’s plots, Spy Bear must know that he can rely on your help. You’ll need to be trained properly though, and the only way to achieve the knowledge that Spy Bear hopes to instill on you, is to accept his missions.

Spy Bear

His latest mission is Agent Training: Uncover the Operative.

In order to accept the new spying mission, you’ll need to make sure that you’ve completed the following missions first:

Question from Spy Bear

Spying Bee Sprite

Stolen Tree House Guide

Agent Training: Word Race

Good luck young spies in training!

Also out, is a new Gold Explorer Mission:

Gold Mission: Navigation Problems

Mysterious Color-Splattered Crates

by The Dizzywood Team on June 8, 2009

box

They’re beginning to appear in various places throughout Dizzywood, and no one can tell us why. We’ve tried kicking them, knocking on them, peaking through, but we can’t see inside. They’ve appeared in Garden Gazebo, Presto’s Edge, and now Explorer’s Camp. We’re assuming something big will happen once they open, but how many more will appear before we can see what they hold!

pssst! I dont think theyre for the color wars!
